Our Story

At Math Matters Tutoring, we provide individualized private tutoring to help students gain confidence and master math skills. Whether it's homework help, study strategies, or reviewing past and future concepts, our tutors work with each student to find the best learning approach.

Our priority is for your child to gain confidence in their math skills.

I started Math Matters Tutoring after privately tutoring kids from ages 7-18 for the past five years. I personally know what it feels like to be crying over my math homework at the table with neither of my parents knowing how to help me, and that’s why I started this business. I understand how important it is to have an instructor that explains math concepts in a way that is best understood by the student. I am a University of Utah graduate with a degree in Mathematics after transferring from BYU where I had the opportunity to swim at the collegiate level. I maintained a 4.0 gpa all four years of high school and was a state swim champion swimmer. These experiences have taught me how to manage my time through long hours of practice and study. I understand the struggles youth face everyday in and out of the classroom. As the owner I approve of all tutors to ensure the best quality of guidance for our students.

Flexible Schedule

No contracts and no hidden fees!

Our tutoring service costs $30 an hour.

Start and stop sessions at any time, no minimum sessions required.

Flexible Schedule

Schedule sessions directly with your tutor on days and times that are convenient for both of you! Most clients schedule sessions on a weekly basis. We recommend at least one session per week. Sessions are a minimum of one hour.
